The Aulani water park is out of this world, with multiple splash pad areas, two thrilling water slides, a lazy river, a snorkeling salt water lagoon, AND a gorgeous infinity pool.
Aulani’s lazy river travels through rock formations and a lush tropical landscape. The Pu’u Kilo, shaped like a volcanic remnant, has two exciting water slides – the Volcanic Vertical and the Tubestone Curl.
The Menehune Bridge is an epic splash pad for kids 48 inches and under. It features two water slides, and a large climbing structure. Near the infinity pool, a second splash pad Keiki Cove is a water playground for 5 and under that has very shallow water for the very little ones to have a good time.
The star of Aulani is the Ka Maka Grotto – an incredible family friendly infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. After dark, the pool lights up with thousands of glittering lights making it truly magical.
If the pool area isn’t enough, Aulani is unique with its Rainbow Reef, a 3,800 foot man made salt water snorkeling lagoon! It requires an extra fee, but its totally worth it. Your kids can also choose to feed the fish if you aren’t up to snorkeling.
If you want to stay at Aulani, make sure to book your room early because rooms fill quickly during peak season. While the rates are pricey, if you are looking for a top notch resort on O’ahu with a water park, Aulani is number one on the list.
